We're a little less than half way from Denver to Utah at this point. The road has smoothed out but it's still rather narrow. It's dark and wet which makes driving on these roads not Jacob's favorite part of his current situation.
We just passed a large traveler-friendly town, named Riffle, CO, with a large number of motels and fast food but we've decided to push on. The goal being to get as close to the Grand Canyon by tomorrow night so that we can spend all day Sunday at the Grand Canyon and Vegas. After that we'll finish the trip Monday with a short four-hour drive from Vegas to L.A. At least that's the rough plan we mapped out at the Denver coffee shop today. Let's see if it works out.
This blog is an account of Jacob and Mike's (Skippy) cross-country trip to move Jacob from Chicago, IL to Irvine, CA. We decided we'd document the trip by making a blog post for every hundred miles we drove, in addition to anything else of interest. There is a map that I made with a thumb tack in each place where we wrote a blog post.
